The Vision
Prakruthi's main objective is to enable our customers to eat and live in the healthiest manner. To achieve this vision we have devoted ourselves to create a farming infrastructure within a short driving distance from Chennai which would allow people to visit their farm on weekends, grow their own food for their families and teach their children to stay connected to nature.

Farming runs in our blood, it has been in our nature for hundreds of generations. We have migrated away from our roots, to bigger cities in persuit of better lifestyles or dream careers. However, we understand there is an inherent interest in farming or desire to own a piece of land to call your own and we are here to provide a solution to this hassle.
The sad reality is that the farmers who feed us cannot make enough money to feed themselves. They have lost faith in agriculture being profitable and advise their own children to run to urban cities in search of better livelihoods. There are multiple factors that led to this belief, however the solutions previous governments came up with resulted in further complications instead of relief.

In the anxiety to increase productivity and profitability for the farmers, people came up with hybrid variety of seeds. Manufacturers took this opportunity to create seeds that forced the farmers to use chemical fertilizers, insecticides and pesticides to control the pests on their crops. The government could not control these acts by the seed manufacturers and as a result the input cost for the farmers went up manifold. In such a situation, if a crop failed, the farmers were in such grief that many times resulted in the heartbreaking decision of ending their own lives.
Our strive to better the society's nutrition and ease the planet's struggles know no boundaries so we started helping our neighbouring farms to convert them into organic farming and ensure their consumer's happiness as well! We truly believe that once the emotional connect between farmer and customer settles in, the farmer will act more responsibly and cultivate chemical free crop. The result will shine into a healthy population.
We at Prakruthi Farms and Dairy have identified a land parcel close to the city so that within a short drive, people can reach their farm. We have created infrastructure for farming, identified qualified people and started documenting the available knowledge on organic farming. Now, you can also own a farm!
